Dia de los muertos,Day of the dead

Dia de los muertos, the day of the dead is a happy holiday.Even though its name seems sad it is a happy occasion to remember your love ones who left you.For some people it is very sad but to others it is a great and happy holiday.This day is when the dead come back from the dead to visit. The family's who have lost them sometimes have picnic at their grave and give them food and drinks.

Cuba's Climate/Geography

Cuba is a subtropical island,it has warm temperature usually in the 70 degrees.Their dry season is November to April and their rainy season is May to October.Cuba is located in the Caribbean and the North Atlantic Ocean.Cuba is about the size of Pennsylvania.Cuba is mostly flat to rolling plains and has bumpy hills.It has huge mountains in the south east covered with rain forest.Cuba is in a hurricane line so it is usually hit with a hurricane each year.

Cuba - El paisaje y lugares importantes.

The capital of Cuba is Havana.Havana,Cuba has flat plains and rolling hills.The old town has beautiful Architecture.In Spanish the city is called La Havana but people who speak English call the city Havana.Havana is one of Cuba's largest city's so it may get a bit crowded.It's population is 2,400,300.
Havana isn't the only great place to visit in Cuba.The city of Santa Clara has great landscape and great activity's.In the middle of this city a park called Parque Vidal.Surrounding the park is the city hall, a hotel, a national monument,and a dance center.It's old city hall is now a library. Santa Clara has many places that hold history to it country.

Cuba’s comida!

Cuba’s food has many spices like this one in particular it’s called Ropa Vejie.Cuba’s food is very different by Mexican food since it has had many other cultures influences its food.

This meal may seem a bit unappitizing but it is good.Picadillio is eaten in cuba alot.It has ground beef,onions,olivies,garlic,oregono, tomato sause and rasins.This dish has many diffrent recipes.This one though is used more.It is severed over rice. This dish is supposed to have a sticky and pasty taste or feeling.

For my food project in class I brought in this drink called Cuba libre.Cuba Libre is a famous Caribbean drink made by Cubans.It is very easy to make.The ingredients are:(this is for one cup or two cups of Cuba libre)
1/2 teaspoons of lime
1 lime
21/2 oz of coke
2 oz of Havana club (if not over 21 years old use club soda.)
Mix these all together and there you have it!

Cuba - Gobierno

Cuba’s goberno:

Cuba is a dictated country. Fidel Castro is their dictator, he is getting on in years and hopefully may after he dies they will have a new government.





Cuba's constitution was written in 1976.Another replaced this constitution in 1992.The president gets to serve for a five year term though there is no limit to how many times he can be elected.Cuba dose not have a president but a dictator.Cuba's independence from Spain to the U.S was December 10,1898.It's indapendence from the U.S.A was May 20,1902.
